अब्भक्षेवायुभक्षैश्न शैवलोत्तरभोजनै: । अश्मकुट्टैस्तथा दान्तै: सम्प्रक्षालैस्तथापरै:

Transliteration

abbhakṣevāyubhakṣaiś ca śaivalottarabhojanaiḥ | aśmakuttaiś tathā dāntaiḥ samprakṣālaiś tathāparaiḥ ||

Translation

Maheshvara said: “Some live on water alone; some as though feeding only on air; others subsist on algae and such scant fare. Some endure austerities as if chewing stones; others live with the senses restrained and purified by repeated washings and other disciplines.”
