गुरुदेवतपूजार्थ स्वाध्याया भ्यसनात्मक: । देहिभिर्धर्मपरमैक्षर्तव्यो धर्मसम्भव:
Translation
Worship of one’s teacher and the gods, and svādhyāya—study and disciplined practice—must surely be undertaken by a brāhmaṇa. And embodied beings devoted to dharma are rightly bound to practice that dharma which yields merit.
