Bhishma said: Gladdened, the hosts of Siddhas and Cāraṇas enhanced the mountain’s splendor. That place again became filled with intoxicated elephants and with flocks of many kinds of birds. Seeing this wondrous and inconceivable occurrence, the assembly of sages was struck with amazement; their hair stood on end, and their eyes brimmed with tears of joy.

The passage highlights how contact with the divine or the extraordinary can transform a place and the hearts of the wise: true spiritual wonder (adbhuta) evokes reverence, joy, and devotional emotion rather than skepticism or pride.
Celestial beings (Siddhas and Cāraṇas) rejoice and beautify a mountain region; the locale becomes lively again with elephants and many birds. The sages witness this inconceivable marvel and respond with amazement, goosebumps, and tears of joy.
