ब्राह्मणपूजायां व्युष्टिः — Vyuṣṭi (Merit-Outcome) of Honoring Brāhmaṇas: Kṛṣṇa and Durvāsā
तथैव स गिरिर्भूय: प्रपुष्पितलताद्रुम: । सपक्षिगणसंघुष्ट: सश्वापदसरीसूप:
tathaiva sa girir bhūyaḥ prapuṣpitalatādrumaḥ | sapakṣigaṇasaṃghuṣṭaḥ saśvāpadasarīsṛpaḥ ||
Bhishma said: “In the same way, that mountain once again became adorned with flowering creepers and trees. It resounded with the calls of flocks of birds, and the beasts and creeping creatures—wild animals and serpents—returned to life and activity there.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse uses ecological renewal as a moral-narrative sign: when conditions become favorable again, life and harmony return—suggesting restoration after disruption and the re-emergence of auspicious order.
Bhishma describes a mountain returning to its former vitality: flowering vines and trees reappear, birds fill it with sound, and wild animals and serpents become active again, indicating a revived, living landscape.
