Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Anuśāsana Parva—specifically in the section on the dharma of giving—concludes the one-hundred-and-thirty-fifth chapter, entitled “The Discourse on Foods that are Fit and Unfit to Eat.” This closing colophon frames the teaching as an ethical guide: charity and right conduct are inseparable from discernment about purity, restraint, and what one should accept or avoid as food.

The colophon signals that the chapter’s instruction concerns ethical discernment about food—what is permissible (bhojya) and impermissible (abhojya)—presented within the broader framework of dāna-dharma, where purity, restraint, and right choice support righteous living and responsible giving.
This line is a formal closing statement (colophon) marking the end of a chapter in the Anuśāsana Parva. It identifies the larger book (parva), the internal section (dāna-dharma), and the chapter’s title/theme (bhojyābhojyānnakathana).
