मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

Bhishma said: By the ringing of anklets and the gentle resonance of girdles, he is awakened. He attains a splendid, radiant aerial car like a flame of fire, adorned with gold and attended by swans and peacocks; he sleeps upon the laps of apsarases and is roused by the sweet sounds of their jeweled girdles and anklets. For a span measured in vast numbers of years—reckoned as many as the hairs (in the stated comparison)—he is honored in the world of Brahmā.
