विमानै: स्फाटिकैर्दिव्यै: सर्वरत्नैरलंकृतै: गन्धर्वैरप्सरोभिश्व पूज्यमान: प्रमोदते
vimānaiḥ sphāṭikair divyaiḥ sarvaratnair alaṅkṛtaiḥ gandharvair apsarobhiś ca pūjyamānaḥ pramodate
Bhishma said: Honoured by Gandharvas and Apsarases, he rejoices, moving about in divine crystal aerial cars adorned with every kind of jewel—an image of heavenly reward that underscores how meritorious conduct culminates in exalted enjoyment and reverence in the next world.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse presents a karmic-ethical principle: righteous, meritorious conduct leads to honour and refined enjoyment in the hereafter, symbolized by divine crystal vimānas and reverence from celestial beings.
Bhishma describes the blessed state of a virtuous person after death: he travels in jewel-adorned celestial vehicles and is honoured by Gandharvas and Apsarases, rejoicing in heavenly prosperity.
