अथ यो विनिकुर्वीत ज्येष्टो भ्राता यवीयस: । अज्येष्ठ: स्यादभागश्ष नियम्यो राजभिक्ष सः:,जो बड़ा भाई होकर छोटे भाइयोंके साथ कुटिलतापूर्ण बर्ताव करता है, वह न तो ज्येष्ठ कहलाने योग्य है और न ज्येष्ठांश पानेका ही अधिकारी है। उसे तो राजाओंके द्वारा दण्ड मिलना चाहिये
Translation
Bhīṣma said: The elder brother who, though the firstborn, deals deceitfully and crookedly with his younger brothers is not fit to be called the eldest, nor is he entitled to the elder’s share. Such a man should be punished by kings.
