This line is a colophon marking the close of a chapter situated in the Dāna-dharma section; it frames the surrounding discourse as authoritative instruction on the ethics of giving (dāna) and righteous conduct (dharma), delivered through a sage-to-sage dialogue.
Bhīṣma signals the formal end of the chapter titled “Agastya–Bhṛgu Dialogue,” locating it within the Anuśāsana Parva and the Dāna-dharma subsection; it functions as an editorial closure rather than a new narrative event.
