Vāyu said: “In the sacrificial rite, separate oblations are prescribed—first to Agni and Soma together, then to the Viśvedevas, next to Dhanvantari, and thereafter to Prajāpati, the lord of creatures.” The verse underscores disciplined order in worship: dharma is upheld by performing each offering distinctly and respectfully, without confusion or neglect.
वायुदेव उवाच
Dharma in ritual life is expressed through correct sequence and distinctness of offerings: each deity is honored with a specific, separate oblation, reflecting clarity, reverence, and adherence to prescribed rule (vidhi).
Vāyu is instructing about sacrificial procedure, listing the order in which oblations should be offered—Agni-Soma first, then the Viśvedevas, then Dhanvantari, and finally Prajāpati—emphasizing that each is to be offered separately.
