वैशम्पायन उवाच इत्येतद् वचन श्रुत्व बभूव विगतज्वर: । युधिष्ठिरो महातेजा: पप्रच्छेद॑ च धर्मवित्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! भीष्मकी यह बात सुनकर महातेजस्वी धर्मज्ञ राजा युधिष्ठिरकी चिन्ता दूर हो गयी; तथा उन्होंने पुनः इस प्रकार प्रश्न किया
vaiśampāyana uvāca | ity etad vacanaṃ śrutvā babhūva vigatajvaraḥ | yudhiṣṭhiro mahātejāḥ papraccha ca dharmavit ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Hearing these words, the illustrious Yudhiṣṭhira—knower of dharma—became free from his inner fever of anxiety, and then questioned again.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Right counsel grounded in dharma calms mental turmoil; once anxiety subsides, a ruler can inquire clearly and proceed ethically.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that after hearing Bhīṣma’s words, Yudhiṣṭhira’s worry is relieved and he resumes questioning, continuing the dharma-instruction sequence.
