Educational Q&A

The verse highlights steadfast discipleship and the potency of sacred knowledge: despite repeated lethal obstacles, Kaca endures and, by the power of the vidyā received from his guru, returns and answers the guru’s call—underscoring perseverance, fidelity to learning, and the transformative force of true knowledge.

After being killed and consumed (here, by wolves), Kaca emerges by tearing through their bodies. When his teacher Śukra calls him, Kaca appears before him, invigorated by the knowledge he has obtained.
