Chapter 74: Non-anger, Forbearance, and the Ethics of Residence

नारीणां चिरवासो हि बान्धवेषु न रोचते । कीर्तिचारित्रधर्मघ्नस्तस्मान्नयत मा चिरम्,'स्त्रियोंका अपने भाई-बन्धुओंके यहाँ अधिक दिनोंतक रहना अच्छा नहीं होता। वह उनकी कीर्ति, शील तथा पातिव्रत्य धर्मका नाश करनेवाला होता है। अतः इसे अविलम्ब पतिके घरमें पहुँचा दो”
Translation
A woman should not remain long in the house of her brothers and kin; it harms her fame, her conduct, and the dharma of wifely fidelity. Therefore, send her without delay to her husband’s home.”
