Educational Q&A

The verse underscores an ideal of kingship where true eminence is not merely hereditary but expressed as rājarṣi-status—royal authority tempered by sage-like virtue—so that one becomes 'renowned on earth' through dharmic stature.

Vaiśampāyana continues a genealogical/listing passage about the Kāleyas, identifying one individual—counted as the fourth—who is known in the world by the name Śreṇimān and is praised as a foremost royal sage.
