वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse frames key figures as partial manifestations (aṁśas) of cosmic beings, emphasizing that extraordinary strength and radiance are rooted in a larger divine-cosmic order rather than mere human attainment.
Vaiśampāyana continues identifying the divine origins of prominent personalities for King Janamejaya, stating that Baladeva is an aṁśa of Śeṣa and that Pradyumna is an aṁśa of Sanatkumāra.
