Duḥṣantasya Vana-praveśaḥ

King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt

यः पुमानभवत् तत्र तं स राजर्षिसत्तम: | वसुर्वसुप्रदश्चक्रे सेनापतिमरिन्दम:,उनमें जो पुरुष था, उसे शत्रुओंका दमन करनेवाले धनदाता राजर्षिप्रवर वसुने अपना सेनापति बना लिया

yaḥ pumān abhavat tatra taṃ sa rājarṣisattamaḥ | vasur vasupradaś cakre senāpatim arindamaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: Among them, the one who was a man—him the foremost royal sage, Vasu, famed as a giver of wealth and a subduer of foes, appointed as his commander of the army.
