दाश उवाच
The verse highlights guru-śuśrūṣā—devoted service and attentiveness to elders and teachers—as a defining virtue, presented alongside noble birth and beauty to show that character is measured by conduct, not merely lineage.
The speaker Dāśa is recounting the origins of the Pāṇḍavas, specifying that Nakula and Sahadeva were twin brothers, handsome in appearance, born through the Aśvin gods, and known for their constant service to gurus and elders.
