शेष उवाच सोदर्या मम सर्वे हि भ्रातरो मन्दचेतस: । सह तैर्नोत्सहे वस्तुं तद्‌ भवाननुमन्यताम्‌,शेषनाग बोले--भगवन्‌! मेरे सब सहोदर भाई बड़े मन्दबुद्धि हैं, अतः मैं उनके साथ नहीं रहना चाहता। आप मेरी इस इच्छाका अनुमोदन करें

śeṣa uvāca: sodaryā mama sarve hi bhrātaro mandacetasaḥ | saha tair notsahe vastum tad bhavān anumanyatām ||

Śeṣa said: “Lord, all my full brothers are indeed dull-minded. Therefore I do not wish to live together with them. May you approve and permit this resolve of mine.”
