Kashyapa said: “My son, do not act rashly; otherwise you will at once fall into grievous suffering. Do not provoke the Vālakhilya sages—drinkers of the Sun’s rays—for if angered they may burn you to ashes.”
कश्यप उवाच
Reckless action invites immediate suffering; ethical restraint and respect toward powerful ascetics are essential, since their anger—born of tapas—can bring swift consequences.
Kashyapa cautions his son against a rash deed and warns that the Vālakhilya sages, famed as ‘drinkers of the Sun’s rays,’ if provoked, may incinerate him in their wrath.
