Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)
अचिन्त्यमनभिध्येयं सर्वभूतभयंकरम् । महावीर्यधरं रौद्रं साक्षादग्निमिवोद्यतम्,उनका स्वरूप ऐसा था, जो चिन्तन और ध्यानमें नहीं आ सकता था। वे समस्त प्राणियोंके लिये भय उत्पन्न कर रहे थे। उन्होंने अपने भीतर महान् पराक्रम धारण कर रखा था। वे बहुत भयंकर प्रतीत होते थे। जान पड़ता था, उनके रूपमें स्वयं अग्निदेव प्रकट हो गये हैं
acintyam anabhidhyeyaṁ sarvabhūtabhayaṅkaram | mahāvīryadharaṁ raudraṁ sākṣād agnim ivodyatam ||
He was inconceivable and beyond the reach of meditation or description, terrifying to all living beings. Bearing immense prowess within himself, he appeared fierce—like Fire itself manifest before one’s eyes, blazing forth in person.
रौहिण उवाच
The verse highlights the limits of ordinary cognition and language when confronted with overwhelming power: some realities inspire awe and fear precisely because they exceed description, reminding the listener to approach such force with humility and caution.
Rohiṇa describes a figure’s appearance as terrifying and superhuman—so fierce and potent that he seems like Agni embodied—emphasizing the character’s extraordinary energy and the fear it inspires in all beings.
