Ādi-parva Adhyāya 3 — Janamejaya’s Rite, Dhaumya’s Parīkṣā, and Uttanka’s Kuṇḍala Quest (सर्पसत्रप्रस्तावना–गुरुपरीक्षा–उत्तङ्कोपाख्यान)
यस्माच्च त्वया मद्बचनमनुष्ठितं तस्माच्छेयो&वाप्स्यसि । सर्वे च ते वेदा: प्रतिभास्यन्ति सर्वाणि च धर्मशास्त्राणीति,साथ ही यह भी कहा कि, “तुमने मेरी आज्ञाका पालन किया है, इसलिये तुम कल्याणके भागी होओगे। सम्पूर्ण वेद और समस्त धर्मशास्त्र तुम्हारी बुद्धिमें स्वयं प्रकाशित हो जायूँगे”
yasmāc ca tvayā madvacanam anuṣṭhitaṃ tasmāc chreyo ’vāpsyasi | sarve ca te vedāḥ pratibhāsyanti sarvāṇi ca dharmaśāstrāṇīti |
And he said: “Since you have carried out my instruction, you will attain what is truly auspicious. And all the Vedas, as well as every treatise on dharma, will shine forth clearly within your understanding.”
