bhaviṣyataḥ sahāyau te naranārāyaṇau tadā | tābhyāṃ tvaṃ sahito dāvaṃ dhakṣyase havyavāhana ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “In the time to come, Nara and Nārāyaṇa will be your allies. United with those two, O Havyavāhana (Fire), you will be able to burn that forest.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes that great undertakings—especially those with cosmic or moral consequences—are accomplished through rightful support and alignment with higher order: Agni’s power is effective when aided by Nara and Nārāyaṇa, figures associated with tapas and divine sanction.
Vaiśaṃpāyana foretells that in the future Agni (Havyavāhana) will receive the assistance of Nara and Nārāyaṇa; with their companionship he will be able to burn the forest (the intended conflagration), indicating a destined collaboration enabling the event.
