धर्मराजे ह्ाृतिप्रीत्या पूर्णचन्द्र इवामले । प्रजानां रेमिरे तुल्यं नेत्राणि हृदयानि च,निर्मल एवं पूर्ण चन्द्रमाके समान आनन्दप्रद राजा युधिष्ठिरके प्रति अत्यन्त प्रीति होनेके कारण उन्हें देखकर प्रजाके नेत्र और मन एक साथ प्रफुल्लित हो उठते थे

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

dharmarāje hṛtiprītyā pūrṇacandra ivāmale |

prājānāṃ remire tulyaṃ netrāṇi hṛdayāni ca ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: Because of their heartfelt affection for Dharmarāja (Yudhiṣṭhira)—pure and pleasing like the spotless full moon—the subjects’ eyes and hearts rejoiced together whenever they beheld him. His very presence brought a shared, unforced happiness, as though righteousness itself had become visible in a king.
