तरुणादित्यसंकाशश्वीरवासा जटाधर: । पद्मपत्रानन: पिड्ुस्तेजसा प्रज्वलन्निव,वे प्रातःकालिक सूर्यके समान तेजस्वी जान पड़ते थे। वे चीरवस्त्र पहने और मस्तकपर जटा धारण किये हुए थे। उनका मुख कमलदलके समान शोभा पा रहा था। उनकी प्रभा पिंगलवर्णकी थी और वे अपने तेजसे मानो प्रज्वलित हो रहे थे

taruṇādityasaṅkāśaś cīravāsā jaṭādharaḥ | padmapatrānanaḥ piṅgus tejasā prajvalann iva ||

Vaiśampāyana said: He appeared radiant like the young morning sun. Clad in bark-garments and wearing matted locks, his face shone like a lotus-petal. Tawny-hued with ascetic brilliance, he seemed as though aflame with inner spiritual power.
