Vaiśampāyana said: Bībhatsu (Arjuna) beheld his son and found him like Kṛṣṇa himself—in valor, strength, beauty, and even in form and bearing. He looked upon that heroic child with the same delighted approval with which Maghavān (Indra) is said to look upon him.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ideal of kṣatriya excellence—valor, strength, and noble bearing—while also showing how virtue and heroic qualities are recognized and affirmed within family and tradition through respectful comparison to exemplary figures like Kṛṣṇa and Indra.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Arjuna sees his son and is struck by the son's resemblance to Kṛṣṇa in key heroic qualities; Arjuna’s pleased gaze is compared to Indra’s approving regard for Arjuna.
