तत्र दानपतिर्धीमानाजगाम महायशा: । अक्ूरो वृष्णिवीराणां सेनापतिररिंदम:,उस समय वहाँ वृष्णिवीरोंके सेनापति शत्रुदमन महायशस्वी और परम बुद्धिमान् दानपति अक्रूरजी भी आये थे
tatra dānapatir dhīmān ājagāma mahāyaśāḥ | akrūro vṛṣṇivīrāṇāṃ senāpatir arindamaḥ ||
Then, to that place came Akrūra as well—renowned and highly intelligent, famed as a lord of generosity—serving as the commander of the Vṛṣṇi heroes, a subduer of foes. The narration highlights the arrival of a virtuous and capable leader whose qualities of wisdom and liberality support righteous order and disciplined conduct among warriors.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse foregrounds ideal qualities in a public leader—wisdom (dhī), generosity (dāna), and the capacity to restrain hostility (arindama). Ethical strength is shown not only through martial role (senāpati) but through virtues that sustain social order and righteous conduct.
Vaiśampāyana reports that Akrūra arrives at the gathering/scene. He is described with honorific epithets: a famed, intelligent patron of gifts, and the commander of the Vṛṣṇi warriors, known for subduing enemies.
