आकाशमेघवर्णनम् / Description of the Sky Filled with Rain-Clouds
इत्येवं तरलतरोरमिंसंकुलं त॑ गम्भीरं विकसितमम्बरप्रकाशम् | पातालज्वलनशिखाविदीपिताडूं गर्जन्तं द्रतमभिजग्मतुस्ततस्ते,इस प्रकार अत्यन्त तरल तरंगोंसे व्याप्त, आकाशके समान स्वच्छ, बड़वानलकी शिखाओंसे उद्धासित, गम्भीर, विकसित और निरन्तर गर्जन करनेवाले महासागरको देखती हुई वे दोनों बहनें तुरंत आगे बढ़ गयीं
śaunaka uvāca | ityevaṁ taralatarormi-saṅkulaṁ tad gambhīraṁ vikasitam ambaraprakāśam | pātāla-jvalana-śikhā-vidīpitāḍhyaṁ garjantaṁ drutam abhijagmatus tatas te ||
Śaunaka said: “Thus, beholding the great ocean—crowded with exceedingly restless waves, clear and sky-bright, deep, wide-spread, lit up by the blazing tongues of the submarine fire, and continually roaring—those two sisters at once hastened forward toward it.”
