अनुप्रवेशे राज्ञस्तु वनवासो भवेन्मम । सर्वमन्यत् परिद्वतं धर्षणात् तु महीपते:,“राजाकी उपस्थितिमें घरके भीतर प्रवेश करनेपर मुझको वनमें निवास करना होगा। इसमें महाराजके तिरस्कारके सिवा और सारी बातें तुच्छ होनेके कारण उपेक्षणीय हैं
anupraveśe rājñas tu vanavāso bhaven mama | sarvam anyat paridvataṁ dharṣaṇāt tu mahīpateḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “If I enter the king’s presence (within the household), then exile to the forest will be my lot. Apart from the king’s affront, everything else is insignificant and therefore to be disregarded.”
