Educational Q&A

A ruler must take responsibility for wrongdoing done through his agents; ethical governance includes repairing harm and cleansing one’s public and moral stain through timely benevolence toward the wronged.

Vidura confronts the king about the notorious disgrace connected with Purocana’s deed and urges him to counteract it immediately by showing favor and protection to the Pāṇḍavas.
