Thereafter comes the Aśvamedhika Parva, said to destroy all sins. Within it is to be known the Anugītā Parva, which expounds the teaching of the Self and spiritual wisdom.
राम उवाच
The verse highlights two complementary paths within the epic’s later structure: ritual and expiation (Aśvamedhika Parva, portrayed as removing sin) and inner spiritual instruction (Anugītā Parva, characterized as teaching adhyātma—knowledge of the Self).
The speaker is outlining the sequence and significance of upcoming sections (parvas) of the Mahābhārata, indicating that after this point one reaches the Aśvamedhika Parva, and within it the Anugītā Parva devoted to spiritual discourse.
