Then those two heroes bowed at their mother’s feet and told Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī) as well to offer her reverence. After she had paid homage and stood there, they entrusted Kṛṣṇā to their mother’s care, and the foremost of men went out to seek alms.
धृष्टह्ुम्न उवाच
The verse foregrounds dharma expressed as reverence to elders and disciplined conduct: even heroic figures begin by bowing to the mother’s feet, instruct Draupadī to do the same, and proceed to collect alms—modeling humility, obedience, and proper household ethics.
Two heroes first salute their mother, then ask Draupadī (called Kṛṣṇā) to salute her as well. After Draupadī pays respects and remains standing there, they entrust her to the mother and go out to obtain alms.
