द्रौपदी-वरण-प्रत्ययः — Intelligence Reports and the Kaurava Court’s Response

विज्ञातुमिच्छत्यवनी श्वरो वः पाज्चालराजो वरदो वरार्हा: । लक्ष्यस्य वेद्धारमिमं हि दृष्टवा हर्षस्य नान्तं प्रतिपद्यते सः,“वरदानके योग्य वीर पुरुषो! वर देनेमें समर्थ पांचालदेशके राजा द्रपद आपलोगोंका परिचय जानना चाहते हैं। इन वीर पुरुषको लक्ष्यवेध करते देखकर उन्हें हर्षकी सीमा नहीं रह गयी है

vijñātum icchaty avanīśvaro vaḥ pāñcālarājo varado varārhāḥ | lakṣyasya veddhāram imaṃ hi dṛṣṭvā harṣasya nāntaṃ pratipadyate saḥ ||

Dṛṣṭadyumna said: “The king of this land, Drupada of Pāñcāla—worthy of the highest honor and able to grant boons—wishes to know who you are. Having seen this hero strike the target, he is overcome with joy and cannot find its limit.”
