पाण्डवानां पाञ्चालगमनम्

कान्यकुब्जे महानासीत्‌ पार्थिवो भरतर्षभ । गाधीति विश्रुतो लोके कुशिकस्यात्मसम्भव:,भरतवंशशिरोमणे! कान्यकुब्ज देशमें एक बहुत बड़े राजा थे, जो इस लोकमें गाधिके नामसे विख्यात थे। वे कुशिकके औरस पुत्र बताये जाते हैं

kānyakubje mahān āsīt pārthivo bharatarṣabha | gādhīti viśruto loke kuśikasyātmasambhavaḥ ||

The Gandharva said: “O bull among the Bharatas, in Kānyakubja there once ruled a mighty king, renowned in the world by the name Gādhi. He was born as the true son of Kuśika.”
