Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the auspicious role of a righteous guide (Vasiṣṭha) in aligning royal desire with dharma: when a king’s life-events proceed under sagely counsel and divine propriety, they are depicted as bringing inner joy and outward splendor.

Vasiṣṭha arrives bringing (or accompanying) the celestial maiden Tapatī. On seeing her approach with the sage, King Saṃvaraṇa becomes intensely pleased and appears more radiant, signaling the favorable turn toward their union.
