वसिष्ठ उवाच यैषा ते तपती नाम सावित्र्यवरजा सुता । तां त्वां संवरणस्यार्थे वरयामि विभावसो,वसिष्ठजीने कहा--विभावसो! यह जो आपकी तपती नामकी पुत्री एवं सावित्रीकी छोटी बहिन है, इसे मैं आपसे राजा संवरणके लिये माँगता हूँ
Vasiṣṭha uvāca: yaiṣā te Tapatī nāma Sāvitrī-varajā sutā | tāṃ tvāṃ Saṃvaraṇasyārthe varayāmi Vibhāvaso ||
Vasiṣṭha said: “O Vibhāvasu, your daughter named Tapatī, the younger sister of Sāvitrī—her I ask of you, to be given in marriage to King Saṃvaraṇa.”
वसिष्ठ उवाच

Vasiṣṭha approaches Vibhāvasu (Agni), identifies Tapatī as his daughter and Sāvitrī’s younger sister, and formally seeks her hand in marriage on behalf of King Saṃvaraṇa.
