ते भायें कश्यपस्यास्तां कद्रश्न विनता च ह । प्रादात्‌ ताभ्यां वरं प्रीत: प्रजापतिसम: पति:

Transliteration

te bhārye kaśyapasyāstāṁ kadrūś ca vinatā ca ha | prādāt tābhyāṁ varaṁ prītaḥ prajāpati-samaḥ patiḥ ||

Translation

Śaunaka said: “Those two were Kaśyapa’s wives—Kadrū and Vinatā. Pleased with them, their husband Kaśyapa, equal in stature to a Prajāpati, granted a boon to them both.”
