Vaiśampāyana said: “O King, in the settlement of the Pāñcālas, instruments were sounded, and among those great-souled Pāñcālas a lion-like roar arose.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how communal sound—music and a lion-like shout—signals unity, confidence, and public resolve; ethically, it reflects the power of collective morale and honorable self-presentation in a royal setting.
In the Pāñcāla residence/settlement, people sound instruments and raise a triumphant roar, indicating a moment of heightened excitement—likely a formal arrival, announcement, or celebratory mobilization among the Pāñcālas.
