गृहं च सुपरिच्छन्नं धनधान्यसमाकुलम्‌ । भारद्वाजाय सुप्रीत: प्रत्यपादयत प्रभु:,गुरु द्रोणाचार्य जब विश्राम कर चुके, तब सामर्थ्यशाली भीष्मजीने अपने कुरुवंशी पौत्रोंकी लेकर उन्हें शिष्यरूपमें समर्पित किया। साथ ही अत्यन्त प्रसन्न होकर भरद्वाजनन्दन द्रोणको नाना प्रकारके धन-रत्न और सुन्दर सामग्रियोंसे सुसज्जित तथा धन- धान्यसे सम्पन्न भवन प्रदान किया

gṛhaṃ ca suparicchannaṃ dhanadhānyasamākulam | bhāradvājāya suprītaḥ pratyapādayat prabhuḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: The powerful lord, being exceedingly pleased, presented to Bhāradvāja a well-appointed house, richly furnished and filled with wealth and grain.
