न शोच्य: पाण्डुरनघ: प्रशस्य: स नराधिप: । यस्य पजञ्च सुता वीरा जाता: सुरसुतोपमा:,निष्पाप राजा पाण्डु शोचनीय नहीं, प्रशंसनीय हैं, जिन्हें देवकुमारोंके समान पाँच वीर पुत्र प्राप्त हुए हैं

na śocyaḥ pāṇḍur anaghaḥ praśasyaḥ sa narādhipaḥ | yasya pañca sutā vīrā jātāḥ surasutopamāḥ ||

Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “King Pāṇḍu, free from sin, is not one to be lamented; rather, that ruler of men is worthy of praise—he to whom five heroic sons were born, comparable to the sons of the gods.”
