व्यास उवाच
As a colophon, the verse primarily teaches textual structure: it closes a chapter and highlights the importance of lineage narratives in the Mahābhārata, where family origins and relationships become the groundwork for later moral choices, duties, and conflicts.
The text announces the completion of the 115th chapter in the Sambhava Parva (within Ādi Parva), specifying that the chapter concerned the account related to Duḥśalā’s birth, and it signals a transition to the next narrative segment.
