तां समासाद्य देवस्तु विवस्वानिदमब्रवीत्‌ | अयमस्म्यसितापाड़ि ब्रूहि किं करवाणि ते,इधर भगवान्‌ सूर्य उसके पास आकर इस प्रकार बोले--'श्याम नेत्रोंवाली कुन्ती! यह मैं आ गया। बोलो, तुम्हारा कौन-सा प्रिय कार्य करूँ?

Transliteration

tāṃ samāsādya devastu vivasvān idam abravīt | ayam asmy asitāpāṇḍi brūhi kiṃ karavāṇi te ||

Translation

Having approached her, the god Vivasvān (the Sun) spoke these words: “I am here, O dark-eyed Pāṇḍī (Kuntī). Tell me—what dear wish of yours shall I accomplish?”
