अनुक्रमणिकाध्यायः (Anukramaṇikā Adhyāya) — Invocation, Narrator Frame, and Textual Scope

तत्प्रीत्या चैव सर्वेषां पौराणां हर्षसम्भव: । शब्द आसीन्महांस्तत्र दिव:स्पृक्कीर्तिवर्धन:,सभी नागरिक पाण्डवोंके प्रेमसे आनन्दमें भरकर ऊँचे स्वरसे अभिनन्दन-ध्वनि करने लगे। उनका वह महान्‌ शब्द स्वर्गलोकतक गूँज उठा जो पाण्डवोंकी कीर्ति बढ़ानेवाला था

tatprītyā caiva sarveṣāṃ paurāṇāṃ harṣasambhavaḥ | śabda āsīn mahāṃs tatra divaḥspṛk kīrtivardhanaḥ ||

Delighted by their affection, all the citizens were filled with joy and raised a great acclamation there. That mighty sound seemed to reach up to heaven itself, and it served to increase the fame of the Pāṇḍavas.
