ततोडन्‍्येभ्यो5नुरूपेभ्य: शिष्येभ्य: प्रददौ विभु: । षष्टिं शतसहस््राणि चकारान्यां स संहिताम्‌,तदनन्तर उन्होंने दूसरे-दूसरे सुयोग्य (अधिकारी एवं अनुगत) शिष्योंको इसका उपदेश दिया। तत्पश्चात्‌ भगवान्‌ व्यासने साठ लाख श्लोकोंकी एक दूसरी संहिता बनायी

tato 'nyeṣv anurūpebhyaḥ śiṣyebhyaḥ pradadau vibhuḥ | ṣaṣṭiṃ śatasahasrāṇi cakārānyāṃ sa saṃhitām |

Thereafter, the mighty sage imparted this teaching to other disciples who were fit and duly qualified. Then Vyāsa composed another recension of the work, consisting of sixty lakhs (six million) of verses—signaling the vastness of the tradition and the careful transmission of sacred knowledge through worthy students.
