ग्रहसंख्यावर्णनम् — ध्रुवस्य तपोबलात् ध्रुवस्थानप्राप्तिः

The wise person who performs japa in this manner—joined with reverent prostration and accompanied by the utterance “Bhagavān”—certainly attains the steadfast, unchanging state.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Purva-Bhaga teaching on Shaiva japa to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It teaches that Linga-oriented devotion is not only external ritual: japa performed with namaskāra (humble surrender) and Bhagavān-nāma leads the sādhaka toward a stable, higher state—aligning outer worship with inner bhakti and discipline.
By promising a “dhruva sthāna,” it points to Shiva as Pati—the steadfast, unchanging Reality—attained when the pashu (individual soul) loosens pāśa (bondage) through devotion, right recitation, and surrender.
Mantra-japa integrated with namaskāra (prostration/surrender). This is a core Shaiva sādhanā consistent with Pāśupata orientation: disciplined repetition plus humility before the Lord.
