युगधर्मवर्णनम् — चतुर्युग, गुण, धर्मपाद, तथा वार्तोत्पत्ति

वृक्षांस्तान्पर्यगृह्णन्ति मधु वा माक्षिकं बलात् तासां तेनोपचारेण पुनर्लोभकृतेन वै

Transliteration

vṛkṣāṃstānparyagṛhṇanti madhu vā mākṣikaṃ balāt tāsāṃ tenopacāreṇa punarlobhakṛtena vai

Translation

Driven by greed, they seize those trees by force, or else violently take away the bees’ honey; and by that very mode of “service”—done only to breed fresh craving—they again fall back into greed.
