ब्रह्मनारायणस्तवः — शिवस्य प्रभवत्व-प्रतिपादनम्

त्वां प्रसाद्य पुरास्माभिर् द्विषन्तो निहता युधि अग्निः सदार्णवांभस्त्वं पिबन्नपि न तृप्यसे

Transliteration

tvāṃ prasādya purāsmābhir dviṣanto nihatā yudhi agniḥ sadārṇavāṃbhastvaṃ pibannapi na tṛpyase

Translation

Formerly, when we had propitiated you, the foes who hated us were slain in battle. O Agni—though you drink even the waters of the ocean, you are never satisfied; thus you are the insatiable power of consumption, moving by the ordinance of the Supreme Pati (Śiva).
