Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.48 (homa-krama and samāpti rites)
This verse highlights that after completing the prescribed count of oblations (here, one hundred), the rite is sealed by the pūrṇāhuti, marking proper completion and sanctifying the offering sequence.
Indirectly: it emphasizes correct performance of post-death rites (fire oblations and completion offering), which the Garuda Purana presents as supportive acts for the departed’s orderly transition and ritual protection.
Perform rites with attention and completion—whether a full homa or a simplified memorial observance—ensuring the ritual is done mindfully and concluded properly rather than left incomplete.
