Through their mutual contact and admixture, the body takes on a like form and the condition pervades the whole frame; and it also arises from the derangement of pitta and blood—whether by association and contagion, or even by biting.

Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.148.1-2 (nidāna leading to doṣa-dūṣya vikṛti)
This verse highlights that association and physical contact can transmit harmful conditions, causing the body to take on similar traits and leading to doṣic disturbance.
It explains that resemblance or affliction arises through mutual contact, linked with pitta and rakta derangement—especially through close association or bites.
Maintain healthy boundaries and hygiene, avoid harmful company or exposure, and address early signs of pitta–rakta imbalance through disciplined diet and conduct.
