महादेव्याः आविर्भाव-रूपान्तर-विहारवर्णनम्

Manifestation, Forms, and Divine Play of the Mahādevī

नात्मार्थे पाचयेदन्न नात्मार्थे पाचयेत्पशून् / देवार्थे ब्राह्मणार्थे वा पचमानो न लिप्यते

nātmārthe pācayedanna nātmārthe pācayetpaśūn / devārthe brāhmaṇārthe vā pacamāno na lipyate

One should not cook food for oneself, nor cook animals for oneself. But one who cooks for the sake of the Devas or for the sake of the Brāhmaṇas is not tainted by sin.
