विषङ्गपलायनम् (Viṣaṅga-palāyanam) — Aftermath of the First Battle Day
इममेकं सहध्वं च शौर्यकीतिविपर्ययम् / इत्युक्त्वा भण्डदैत्येन्द्रस्तान्प्रहैषीद्रणं प्रति / द्विशतं चाक्षौहिणीनां तत्सहायतयाहिनोत्
imamekaṃ sahadhvaṃ ca śauryakītiviparyayam / ityuktvā bhaṇḍadaityendrastānprahaiṣīdraṇaṃ prati / dviśataṃ cākṣauhiṇīnāṃ tatsahāyatayāhinot
“Join together and subdue this single one, and erase this reversal of valor and renown.” So spoke Bhaṇḍa, lord of the Daityas, and sent them toward the battlefield, dispatching as aid two hundred akṣauhiṇī armies to destroy the foe.
